About Istanbul

Why go to Istanbul

Istanbul sits on both sides of the Bosphorus, with one foot in Europe and one in Asia. In the old city, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque face each other across a square, Topkapi Palace looks over the water, and the Basilica Cistern hides beneath the streets.

Then there are the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar, the views from Galata, and a cruise along the Bosphorus past palaces and wooden mansions. We plan it privately, with a licensed guide and time to simply enjoy the city.

Yes. Shoulders and knees should be covered, and women cover their hair. Scarves are usually available at the entrance.
