About Ephesus

Why go to Ephesus

Ephesus was one of the largest cities of the Roman world, and walking its marble streets still feels like stepping back in time. Its famous sights include the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre and the Terrace Houses, where the homes of wealthy Romans are protected under a modern roof.

Nearby are the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the House of the Virgin Mary and the hillside village of Sirince. The closest airport is Izmir.
