Spend your time in Fez's ancient medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site full of narrow winding streets and historical sites. Leave medieval Fez and travel toward the Merzouga desert, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains and Ziz Valley. You'll pass traditional Berber villages and see the landscape change as you go. Once you arrive, you'll take a camel trek across the dunes, catch the sunset, have a traditional dinner with Berber rhythms, and sleep in a nomadic tent under the stars. Wake up early if you want to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Then travel to Ouarzazate via Boumalne Dades, stopping to explore the valley's kasbahs, palmeries, and traditional Berber houses. You'll visit the Todra Gorges for great views and hiking if that interests you. After lunch, you'll reach Ouarzazate and tour the Atlas Film Studios where various movies have been shot.

Drive through the Atlas Mountains heading back to Marrakech, stopping at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This fortress-like village is one of the best- preserved kasbahs in Morocco and has been used in famous movies and TV shows. Dedicate a full day to Marrakech's main landmarks. Start at the Koutoubia Mosque, the city's largest with its iconic tall minaret. From there, head to the Saadian Tombs to see the ornate decoration from the 16th and 17th centuries. You'll tour the Bahia Palace with its intricate tilework and gardens, browse the traditional souks, and visit the Jardin Secret to see Islamic art and architecture.
